Not what I expected
I guess if you are looking for a two piece cake pan this is the one for you. However, the description did not state that this is a two (2) piece pan. I was looking for a 1 piece pan

Great Pan
After finally getting rid of my 30-year old angel food cake pan, this pan is perfection! Very weighty, well-constructed and distributes heat evenly. Definitely the components you want when baking an angel food cake.

I sent this as a gift to a friend looking for a one piece angelfood cake pan. There is nothing in the description telling you it has a removable insert which is why I sent it to her. What a disapointment. They should revise the description to include the fact that it is a two piece pan
